The material is organized around the Voiceworks programme and the conceptual and collaborative concerns it generates. From the work of composers, poets and singers who inform our practice and research, to keywords which make it possible to think and wander across fields. We are also interested in curating new work on the site, and investigating the full range of text/music practice with Visiting Artists and in our Constellations series.
Where possible we are developing playlists of material. These are not intended to work comprehensively, but as ways of sampling and exploring. All music playlists on the Voiceworks site are accessed using Spotify, a music streaming service that is legal and free to use (in its most basic form). If you wish to access our playlists, you will first need to register for a Spotify account and download the software here.
When you see an embedded link to a Voiceworks playlist, simply click on the link and when prompted, open it using Spotify. You can then 'subscribe' to the link, and it will appear among your own playlists. If the playlist is changed by the Voiceworks team, your own version will be automatically updated.
Repertoire playlists, for example within Voiceworks: Song or Voiceworks: Music are 'closed' - that is, they cannot be changed. However, some playlists - for example those relating to certain 'keywords' - will be 'collaborative', which means that anyone with a Spotify account can add material to them. We encourage users of the site to contribute relevant material to these ‘keywords’ playlists.
Voiceworks respects issues of copyright and our take-down policy can be read here.
We hope you will explore Voiceworks Resources and take part in developing the site.
